Britain grants study visas to 20 female Afghan students in Scotland

The Daily Record reported that the British government has decided to allow 20 female Afghan students who were banned from continuing their studies in Afghanistan due to the Taliban regime to enter to continue their studies in Scotland.

According to this report, these female students will study medicine in prestigious universities in Scotland, including the universities of Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow and St. Andrews.

In order to obtain a study visa, these students are expected to apply to the British Embassy in Pakistan.

It was also announced that these students will be eligible for scholarships like other Scottish domestic students and will not need to pay tuition fees.

Linda Norgrove Foundation has also played an important role in providing education for these students.

This is despite the fact that the Taliban does not allow student girls to leave without Sharia Muharram, and it is not yet clear whether these girls and women can travel to Scotland.
