The press office of Bamyan province has reported on Wednesday, 16th, that 40 girls graduated from two-year midwifery in this province. The governor of Bamyan participated in this meeting and asked the girls to work sincerely in the health sector.

These girls have completed the two-year midwifery course with the support of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

The Governor of Bamyan added in this gathering: "It is a happy place that girls and women try to continue their education by enduring the hardships and hard work of themselves and their families, so that tomorrow they can be a source of service to their society and country."

Abdullah Sarhadi added that he is committed to provide education and work for boys and girls in this province.

These girls graduated from midwifery while the Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate had announced the severe shortage of female doctors in a number of provinces.
