Taliban forces have surrounded Golbedin Hekmatyar's house

Sources close to the leader of Hizb-e-Islami told Afghanistan International that Taliban forces have surrounded Gulbuddin Hekmatyar's house in Kabul.

It is said that the controversy is over the land of Hekmatyar's house, which the Taliban said belongs to the Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan.

This incident takes place while Hekmatyar had previously criticized the Taliban leader and policies.

Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, the leader of Hizb-e-Islami Afghanistan, strongly criticized the Taliban's system and policies, such as banning girls' education, in a speech in Hoot.

Regarding the prohibition of girls' education, he said that anyone who differentiates between the education of boys and girls is "certainly wrong."

He also asked the Taliban to allow the Afghan people to "choose their type of political system."
Karim Amin, a member of Hizb-e-Islami leadership, told Afghanistan International that the Taliban forced Golbedin Hekmatyar to leave his home and workplace and go to another place.

Taliban forces surrounded the house of Hizb-e-Islami leader in Kabul on Sunday.

He rejected reports from local sources about the siege of Hekmatyar's house in Kabul. Mr. Amin said: "Hizb-e-Islami's office is definitely not under siege. But it was decided to change the residence of the honorable Emir of Hizb-e-Islami and the headquarters of the party."

Sources say that the dispute is over the land of Hekmatyar's house and office, which the Taliban said belongs to the Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan.
