Setting up tailoring training programs for women across Afghanistan

The World Food Program has announced that it has launched tailoring training programs throughout Afghanistan for the purpose of self-sufficiency of women in Afghanistan.

On Monday, the 6th of Hamel, this organization published a message on X page and stated that the purpose of launching these programs is "self-sufficiency of women in Afghanistan".

The World Food Program emphasized that this decision was taken at the same time as the reduction of "economic opportunities" for women in Afghanistan.

At the same time, the support of the United Nations in various sectors for women entrepreneurs has increased in order to expand work opportunities in Afghanistan.

Earlier, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) announced the creation of short-term job opportunities for more than 16 thousand women in Afghanistan.

Also, a number of students of tailoring workshops in Kabul also wanted to create a work environment for women because, according to them, "besides strengthening their skills, they also want to help their families in this situation."

Hasna Rufi, the head of one of the sewing workshops in Kabul, also said at the graduation ceremony of more than 60 girls from this workshop that many girls work with her in a safe environment.

In an interview with Khamepress, he requested the creation of educational programs for girls deprived of education in Afghanistan.

This is despite the fact that girls' interest in industry and trade, tailoring, creating restaurants and official workshops has increased in the last two years.
