The World Food Program seeks the economic self-sufficiency of Afghan women; Setting up a sewing program for women

The World Food Program (WFP) has announced that it has launched tailoring training programs across the country in order to strengthen the economic self-sufficiency of women in Afghanistan.

In a message on its X page, the WFP called the move taken at the same time as reducing "economic opportunities" for Afghan women.

Meanwhile, UN support for Afghan women entrepreneurs has increased to expand job opportunities, especially in various sectors.

Earlier, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) announced the creation of short-term job opportunities for more than 16,000 Afghan women.

Also, some students of tailoring workshops in Kabul have demanded to create a work environment for women so that in addition to strengthening their skills, they can also help their families.
