The explosion of the warhead in Badakhshan left three wounded

The local officials of the caretaker government in Badakhshan Province say that three members of the same family were injured after the explosion of the "Ziv" warhead in "Shohada" district of this province.

Badakhshan Province Police Command published a news report and said that this incident happened around 5 am on Saturday, the 11th of Hamal in the vicinity of "Yafrij" village of "Shohada" district.

According to the officials, the explosion occurred in a residential house and three members of a family were injured.

The news report states that the injured were transferred to the provincial hospital.

Earlier, a mortar warhead explosion in Bazarak area of ​​Panjshir Province killed a child.

Meanwhile, explosive materials left over from the war and landmines have killed many people, especially children, in different parts of the country.

According to reports, nearly 606 square kilometers of Afghanistan's soil is contaminated with mines and explosive ammunition.

Also, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has also expressed concern about the high number of children killed by unexploded ordnance in Afghanistan.

According to this organization, 85% of victims of unexploded ordnance in Afghanistan are children.
