The Taliban dismissed the officials involved in the kidnapping of a 17-year-old girl in Ghor

A 17-year-old girl in Nurak village of Pasaband district was a victim of kidnapping and forced marriage by local Taliban authorities.

According to reports, Khairullah Khairkhah, the district governor of the Taliban in Pasaband, Abdul Hamid Khalid, the police commander of this group, and Mohammad Mushfaq, the deputy intelligence chief of the Taliban intelligence in this area, raided the house of this young girl and forcibly kidnapped her and forced her to marry him. Shah Wali, a member of the Taliban, was taken hostage.

A video of this event that was sent to the media showed Taliban gunmen abducting the girl. Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid first claimed that this incident was due to the bride's dowry.

But later, Taliban sources confirmed that these six officials were fired for kidnapping the young girl.

The Taliban announced that the girl was returned home and the investigation into the perpetrators of her abduction continues.

This event has raised deep concerns about the violation of women's rights and the abuse of power by Taliban officials.
