Local sources in Badakhshan province have informed about a fire in Kesham district of this province and say that as a result of this fire, a number of gold shops have been damaged and their owners have suffered significant financial losses.
According to the source, a fire broke out around 12 o'clock on Friday night in "Madinah" market of Keshm district of Badakhshan.
Eyewitnesses call the cause of this fire "electrical short".
Mohammad Jan, the owner of one of the gold shops, told Khamepress reporter that more than 20 lakhs of his shop's capital was lost and most of his shop's contents were stolen during the evacuation.
Khalil, the manager of the market, says that the amount of financial damage caused by the fire has not been determined yet, but he considers the amount of damage to be huge.
An attempt was made to talk to the officials of this district, but they refused to provide more details.
