Health workers in Herat are facing non-payment of salaries on the eve of Eid al-Fitr

In Herat province, nearly 180 health centers and more than a thousand of their employees are under the support of "OHPM" institute. But the employees of this department say that this institution has not paid their salaries since two months.

Non-payment of salaries has made health workers face serious economic challenges on the eve of Eid al-Fitr.

An employee of the health department in Herat said: "We are on the eve of Eid, but our salaries have not been paid yet. This has created many challenges for us."

This is despite the fact that after the return of the Taliban to power and the reduction of international financial aid, Afghanistan's health system has faced the risk of serious collapse.

Previously, reports were published by "Kaf" Institute about the deduction of 40 percent of the salaries of Parwan provincial hospital employees.
