Pakistan's Special Representative for Afghanistan Affairs; The perception of security with the withdrawal of NATO from Afghanistan was wrong

Pakistan stated that the perception of security in the region after the withdrawal of NATO forces from Afghanistan was wrong.

Asif Durrani, Pakistan's special representative for Afghanistan, in an international conference in Islamabad, raised his country's serious concerns about the increase in terrorist attacks in the region.

Durrani said that attacks by the Pakistani Taliban (Tehrik Taliban Pakistan) have increased by 65 percent and suicide attacks by 500 percent in Pakistan. He also expressed concern that the participation of Afghan nationals in these attacks is worrying.

According to Durrani, Pakistan has been suffering from changes in the country since the invasion of Afghanistan by the Red Army, and the world order after September 11 has also had a negative impact on the country.

This war in Afghanistan has led to the death of 80,000 Pakistani citizens and an economic cost of 150 billion dollars for Pakistan.

Durrani stated that despite Pakistan's efforts to cooperate with the Afghan Taliban, this group is not willing to turn its back on its patron, the Pakistani Taliban.
