China donated $100,000 to flood victims in Afghanistan

The Red Cross of China donated $100,000 to the victims of recent floods in the country.

The Chinese Embassy in Afghanistan has recently announced that it has allocated this amount of money in cash to the victims of the recent earthquakes.

Meanwhile, Jao Xing, the Chinese ambassador to Afghanistan, recently said in a meeting with Maulawi Abdulsalam Hanafi, the administrative deputy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, that China wants to develop relations with Afghanistan in political, economic and cultural fields.

In recent days, several provinces of the country witnessed heavy rains, storms, floods and lightning, as a result of which more than a hundred people died and dozens of others were injured.

China has announced its assistance to Afghanistan while the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) published a report saying that Afghanistan continues to face a complex humanitarian crisis, including the effects of long-term war, poverty, food insecurity, natural disasters and water changes. The organization recently announced that Afghanistan's Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan in 2024 is facing a "severe financial gap".
