Taliban meeting with Azerbaijani ambassador in Kabul; Expanding cooperation between the two countries is the focus of negotiations

Mohammad Yaqub Mujahid, Acting Minister of Defense of the Taliban, met and talked with the Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Kabul on Wednesday.

In this meeting, Mujahid evaluated the reopening of the Azerbaijani embassy in Kabul as a positive step to strengthen the relations between the two countries.

Mujahid said in this meeting that the friendship and commonality of the people of Afghanistan and Azerbaijan, both of which are friendly Muslim countries, is the foundation for the expansion of bilateral cooperation. He expressed hope that economic, commercial and other fields of cooperation will start as soon as possible.

On the other hand, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan announced in this meeting that his country, while strengthening relations with Afghanistan, is ready to expand cooperation with the "Taliban (Islamic Emirate)" and the people of this country.

This meeting shows that the Taliban is seeking to strengthen its relations with neighboring countries and the region. The reopening of the Azerbaijani embassy in Kabul can also be a step towards strengthening these relations. The Taliban hope that in this way they can develop economic and trade cooperation with neighboring countries.
