The special representative of the United States demanded that the perpetrators of the attack on Shia worshipers in Herat be held accountable

Rina Amiri, the US special representative for women's affairs and human rights in Afghanistan, four days after the bloody attack on Shia worshipers in Guzrah district of Herat, has called for the perpetrators of this attack to be held accountable.

In this attack that took place last Monday evening, gunmen on motorcycles shot at Shia worshippers. During this deadly attack, at least six worshipers, including women and children, were killed and another was injured.

Rina Amiri described this attack as a "violent act reminiscent of the relentless persecution of communities at risk" and stressed that the perpetrators of this attack should be held accountable.

The Khorasan branch of ISIS has claimed responsibility for this attack. This attack has raised concerns about the security of religious minorities in Afghanistan, especially Shiites.

Amiri, who works as the US special representative for women and human rights in Afghanistan, has called for the perpetrators of this violent attack to be held accountable.
