Significant reduction of humanitarian aid in Afghanistan and concern about the situation of vulnerable people

The United Nations has warned that vital humanitarian activities in Afghanistan have been severely limited.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has announced that these restrictions have occurred due to significant budget cuts.

According to the OCHA report, despite the reduction of war and violence in Afghanistan, the people of this country are still in dire need of humanitarian aid.

OCHA predicts that by 2024, approximately 23.7 million people in Afghanistan will need emergency assistance.

However, only 7.8 percent of OCHA's request of three billion and sixty million dollars to save the lives of the needy in Afghanistan has been funded.

This department warned that if this process continues, vulnerable people, especially women, children and adults, will face a difficult situation.

People of different regions of Afghanistan also complain about the reduction of humanitarian aid. While war and violence have decreased in this country, there is still an urgent need for humanitarian support.

The United Nations has emphasized that without receiving sufficient aid, Afghanistan will face serious challenges in meeting the basic needs of the people.
