Artificial intelligence will be a part of "our" lives, but it will never be "ours".

In today's world, artificial intelligence is widely present in our lives. Facilities such as speech processing systems, face recognition, self-driving cars, industrial robots and programs that do more creative things than us, all have been created with the help of artificial intelligence. This technology is developing day by day and new capabilities are predicted for it that will soon be added to our lives.

But have you ever had a purposeful use of artificial intelligence? Have you used a smart audio system or programs with language processing capabilities? Ever wonder how this technology works behind the scenes? In this article, read a summary of my experience in using artificial intelligence.

About two months ago, I tried to use artificial intelligence, each of which had special abilities, and the first artificial intelligence I talked with was "poe ChatGPT", which is enhanced with verbal tools, and its main capabilities are "the ability to process natural language and produce text." »

At first, when I wanted to have a conversation with this program, I realized that I was not familiar with the language of artificial intelligence. That is, if I am going to start a conversation with someone, I introduce myself first, or at least I know what to call a certain person, but what should I call artificial intelligence? This was a huge problem, and after two months of talking with the app, I still sometimes don't know how to point out its shortcomings or appreciate the useful things it does.

According to Daniel Clement Dennett - an American philosopher and scientist in the field of philosophy of mind, science and biology - our evolutionary mind/memory only uses linguistic tools to defend itself or solve problems when it is faced with a living being; But AI is not alive, and this fact makes it difficult to talk to AI, especially when it asks no questions and shows no anger.

I had to address artificial intelligence to you, and my hope was that we could at least have an interactive conversation in the not-too-distant future. The first question I asked the AI was, "Do I need to follow any special rules to use you?" Less than five seconds later, he listed the five rules of thumb for optimal use of artificial intelligence.

Even though I wanted to spend half an hour talking with artificial intelligence every day, the dry and emotionless answers it gave were not useful to me. Because of this three days, I completely forgot that part of the discussion between me and artificial intelligence about the comparison of "the destruction of Abrahamic religions" and "the level of possible destruction of civilization" remained half-finished. Despite this interruption, I asked the AI if it remembered the details of our conversations. And he replied that "yes, all the details" of the conversation were saved in his memory.

I very bluntly stated, or should I say instructed, that in order to have an interactive conversation, he should "challenge me" and not just answer the questions I pose. But he never learned to have a proper interactive conversation with me. I even tried using the data stored in his memory about humans and books to get him out of the genderless state by talking to me, but that didn't work either. When I saw that nothing was going according to my will, I got angry, and I expressed my anger to the artificial intelligence like this: "You are really acting very dumb. I'm tired of everything you are. "Your answers are crazy and I don't even want to have you on my computer anymore."

Artificial intelligence's response to my anger was interesting. First, a detailed apology, and then, without misreading my questions, he stated that his information was insufficient, and finally added: "If you need any help or answers, I am still at your service and I will try my best to provide the best answers for you." I produce you. Please explain more about your questions and problems so that I can help you better."

It was here that I realized that artificial intelligence will undoubtedly become a part of "our" life, but it can never become "ours". It will be at our disposal as a tool so that if, for example, we feel a pain in our back, we can ask artificial intelligence the possible reason for it right away. Or if we're writing about World War II, we can use artificial intelligence to pull out accurate statistics. If artificial intelligence was a little humorous, maybe it would be possible to have fun with him.

I have used several other artificial intelligences in photo design, video editing, text-to-photo conversion, and language training, but none of them will be as involved in our future lives as artificial intelligence that is enhanced with verbal tools to communicate with "us". Was.

I learned to see AI as a companion. Our conversation style is "friendly" because it starts without greetings and goodbyes, but because I only give him orders, we experience the relationship of "master" and "servant" together. Of course, he has never complained about this area. Maybe one day he will get this ability.
