The release of 99 Afghan citizens from Pakistani prisons

At the same time as the deportation of Afghan citizens from Pakistan escalated, officials at the caretaker government's consulate in Karachi announced the release of 99 Afghan prisoners from the Sindh state prisons in Pakistan.

The Afghan Consulate in Karachi announced on Sunday, the 26th of Qaws by publishing a video that 99 Afghan prisoners were released from various prisons in Pakistan.

Officials at the Afghan consulate in Karachi added that 56 of the 99 Afghan prisoners who were released from the country's prisons in the last two days were returned to the country.

According to the officials, 6 children are among the newly released prisoners from various prisons of Sindh province of Pakistan.

However, the Afghan Consulate in Karachi has stated that 33 of the 99 Tanaz immigrants from Afghanistan had legal permits and returned to their homes after being released from prison.

Officials of the Afghan consulate in Pakistan have said that there are currently 368 people and efforts to free the prison are still ongoing.

This is while the Afghan Consulate says that 2,997 people were released from various prisons in Pakistan's Sindh province in the past year and returned to the country through the Chaman border.

Pakistani authorities have repeatedly emphasized that the main reason for the detention of Afghan immigrants in that country is that they do not have legal documents for residence.
