Canadian Police: One of the big car thieves has escaped to Kabul

The police of a Canadian city has announced that one of the biggest car thieves in Canada has fled to Kabul.
Canada's "York" city police said that 34-year-old Mansour Abdul, one of the "masterminds of car theft" in this country, fled to Kabul to avoid arrest.
The police of this country also announced that in 2023, more than five thousand cars were stolen in this area and the amount of car thefts in the last year had a significant jump.
Mansour Abdul, Abu Aye, Modibo Bamba, Amil Tamboh Matande and Ala Malek Moqdad are the five people whom the Canadian police named as car thieves.
According to reports, Dave Forster, head of the non-profit organization that cooperates with law enforcement agencies, said that international rings are often involved in organizing car thefts.
Investigations revealed that Abdul's ring was involved in transporting stolen vehicles abroad, especially to the United Arab Emirates and Lebanon. He fled to Kabul before completing the operation, which led to the recovery of 64 stolen cars worth 3.5 million dollars in the Republic of Malta.
According to the estimate of "Equity" Association, a partner organization of York Police Canada, annual insurance crimes cost Canada between four and five billion dollars, and approximately $1.2 billion of that is through car theft.
According to the findings of the Toronto Police, the theft of vehicles in 2023 has increased by 45% compared to other years.
