In a two-day conference held at the University of Education and Training, the political deputy of the Taliban's deputy minister stated that Afghanistan's education system has been severely damaged in recent decades.

He added that the Taliban is committed to creating quality education in the country based on international standards.

At the same time, the heads of the ministries of education and higher education of the Taliban also mentioned the weaknesses of the current education system in Afghanistan.

They emphasized that existing opportunities should be used to strengthen education and interactions between organizations in this field should be increased.

Despite the announced goals, none of the participants in the conference mentioned the issue of banning the education of girls, who comprise half of the society.

This conference was held while yesterday was celebrated as World Education Day and the international community unanimously criticized the Taliban's action in limiting educational opportunities for women and girls.
