300 million dollars assistance from the World Bank to support the people of Afghanistan and resume the work of the Casa 1000 project

The World Bank has announced that based on the new approach of engagement with Afghanistan, this bank will resume the work of the CASA 1000 energy transfer project in Afghanistan to support the people of Afghanistan.
This bank, by publishing a statement, said that the board of executive directors of this bank on Thursday, 26 April, approved a new adjusted approach called "approach 3.0" to support the people of Afghanistan.
According to the AFP news agency, the International Development Association of the World Bank, based on a new approach of the bank's interaction with Afghanistan, is going to make nearly 300 million dollars available to Afghanistan in the next 15 months.
In its announcement, the World Bank also said that the work of the CASA-1000 project will be resumed at the request of the three neighboring countries of Afghanistan in order to avoid the risk of this project becoming a stray asset.
The bank has emphasized that the work of the Casa 1000 project will be resumed in such a way as to ensure that all future construction payments and revenues are managed outside of Afghanistan and do not include systems managed by the Islamic Emirate.
The World Bank has said that the work on the Casa 1000 project, which is an energy transfer project from Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan via Afghanistan, is almost finished in three other countries, and only Afghanistan remains. The construction of this project in Afghanistan was stopped after the Islamic Emirate regained control.
The World Bank has also said that under its new approach, it will continue to support the people of Afghanistan far from the reach of the Islamic Emirate.
In the announcement of this bank, it is stated that it will provide its assistance to the people of Afghanistan through the United Nations and other international institutions, and during the implementation of the projects, a group will independently monitor all the projects and verify the activities.
According to this bank, women are at the center of projects and it should be ensured that project activities are implemented by women and for women.
The World Bank added that as part of providing basic services, it will support job opportunities by strengthening income-generating activities.
