Kabul citizens complain about the increase in the price of wood for home heating

A number of residents of the capital of Afghanistan protest against the significant increase in the price of wood, the main source of energy for the people in the cold season. They say that the price of wood has increased by more than 4,000 Afghani in the last month.

Referring to the unfavorable economic conditions and need, the residents of Kabul wanted to reduce the price of wood so that they can use this material to heat their homes in the cold season.

The sellers also explained that the cost of buying wood is very high for them and they have to increase the selling price to balance themselves.

On the other hand, the Taliban officials cited the lack of forest resources as the reason for the price increase and emphasized the use of alternative fuel materials.

But the citizens insist that the price of wood should be reduced so that they can have access to this heating source when they need it.
