Amnesty International's letter to the head of Taliban intelligence; Stop arresting women

In a letter addressed to Abdul Haq Vathiq, the head of the Taliban intelligence, Amnesty International demanded the immediate release of Manijeh Siddiqui, a women's civil activist.

In a letter published on Monday, this human rights organization reported on the dire humanitarian situation of Manijeh Sediqi in Taliban prison and asked this group to stop detaining women in their regime.

Amnesty International said, this women's rights activist is denied access to her family and a lawyer, and her mental condition has deteriorated.

This organization emphasized that Manijeh Sediqi has been deprived of proper health care.

Amnesty International asked the Taliban to release this woman activist unconditionally and stop the process of arresting women for reasons such as clothing and other issues related to basic rights.

This letter was given to the head of Taliban intelligence while the repressive arrest of opponents and human rights activists continues in Afghanistan under the Taliban regime.
