In its latest report, the "World Happiness Report" institute named Finland, Denmark, Iceland and Switzerland as the happiest countries and Afghanistan as the saddest country in terms of global happiness indicators.

According to the indicators of this institute to measure the level of happiness, for the fifth consecutive year, Afghanistan has the lowest social welfare, which is one of the indicators of "happiness", and has taken the title of the saddest country in the world.

Finland has been named the happiest country in this report for the fifth year in a row, followed by Denmark, Iceland, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Sweden, Norway, Israel and New Zealand as the happiest countries in the world.

Besides Afghanistan, the countries of Lebanon, Sierra Leone, Zimbabwe, Democratic Republic of Congo, Botswana, Malawi, Comoros, Tanzania and Zambia have the title of the saddest countries in the world.

In 2023, the researchers compared the countries of the world in terms of GDP per capita, freedom to choose their life, healthy life expectancy, social support, generosity of the general public, understanding of the levels of domestic and foreign corruption, and published this list. .

The Global Happiness Report was written by a group of independent experts. This report is published every year around March 20 as part of the celebration of the International Day of Happiness, and the most important source of data for this report is the annual Gallup survey.
