Seven people were publicly flogged in Kabul and Kandahar

The Supreme Court of the Acting Government has announced the execution of punishment for seven accused persons in Kandahar and Kabul provinces.

According to the newsletter of the Supreme Court of the caretaker government in Kandahar province, these people were publicly flogged on Wednesday, August 8, on the charge of "corruption" and "debauchery".

It is stated in the newsletter that this sentence was executed based on the basic principle and these people were also sentenced to two years in prison.

On the other hand, the Supreme Court of the acting government in Kabul has also announced that two people have been sentenced to death on the charge of "adultery".

It is stated in the newsletter that these people were sentenced to one year in prison along with 35 lashes.

Previously, according to the ruling of the court of the caretaker government, ta'ziri sentences have been executed in different provinces of the country on charges of "immorality", "adultery", "dishonor", "theft" and "battering".

Two days ago, the Supreme Court of the caretaker government had announced the imposition of punishment on one person for the charge of "obscenity" in Farah province.

It should be mentioned that the caretaker government officials have emphasized on the implementation of retribution limits.

This is despite the fact that the caretaker government has repeatedly flogged accused people in public since regaining control of Afghanistan.
