American official; A citizen of this country is being tortured in Taliban prisons

Michael McCall, the chairman of the foreign relations committee of the United States House of Representatives, expressed concern that Ryan Corbett, an American citizen, is in "deplorable conditions" in a Taliban prison.

In a statement on Wednesday, Michael McCall called for the immediate release of Ryan Corbett from Taliban prison.

According to him, despite the repeated reports about the deteriorating health of this American citizen, the Biden administration has not taken any steps to release him.

McCall stressed that the Biden administration should stop ignoring requests to meet with Ryan Corbett's family and take immediate action to free him from Taliban prison.

The Taliban arrested Ryan Corbett in August 2022, but it is not yet clear on what charges this American citizen was arrested.

Previously, Anna Corbett, Ryan Corbett's wife, said that the Taliban detained American citizens, including her husband, "unjustified" and for political purposes.
