The Department of Meteorology warned of the possibility of snowfall and heavy rains in 29 provinces

In the continuation of snowfall and heavy rains throughout Afghanistan, the Department of Meteorology has warned of the possibility of snowfall and heavy rains with flash floods and lightning in 29 provinces of the country in the coming days.

In a statement released on Thursday, CM Hamel said that the provinces of Badakhshan, Takhar, Baghlan, Panjshir, Nuristan, Kunar, Nangarhar, Laghman, Kapisa, Parwan, Kabul, Samangan, Balkh, Sarpol, Faryab, Bamyan, Wardak Square , Logar, Paktia, Khost, Paktika, Ghazni, Daikandi, Badghis, Ghor, Helmand, Uruzgan, Kandahar, Zabul and Salangha on Friday and Saturday, there will be heavy rains.

The amount of rainfall in different areas of the mentioned provinces is between 15 and 60 mm and the amount of snow is estimated at 15 to 20 cm.

The Ministry of Natural Affairs announced yesterday that the post-Eid rains in the country have killed 70 people and more than 50 people have been injured as a result of these rains.

It should also be mentioned that as a result of these rains, nearly two thousand acres of agricultural land were destroyed, more than six hundred houses were partially and completely damaged, and more than two thousand animals were also lost.
