Distribution of nearly 300 temporary coal mining permits in Samangan

The head of mines of the caretaker government in Samangan province says that nearly 300 pieces of temporary coal miner's license have been issued in this province.

The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum of the Islamic Emirate published a newsletter on Saturday, the 11th of Hamal, saying that the head of Samangan mines raised this issue in the first meeting of the mine protection committee of this province.

According to the ministry's newsletter, this meeting was chaired by Mullah Abdulahed Fazli, the governor of the Islamic Emirate in Samangan, with the presence of the heads of mines, intelligence, and other members of that committee.

The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum quoted the head of Samangan Mines as saying in this meeting that arbitrary extraction and smuggling of mines, which was one of the main problems, has been stopped not only in this province but in the whole country.

This local official of the Islamic Emirate in Samangan said that so far nearly 300 temporary coal mining permits have been issued in this province.

Meanwhile, the governor of the Islamic Emirate of Samangan, while emphasizing on the implementation of the work procedure of the mine protection committee of this province, has considered the establishment of this committee as an urgent need.

Samangan coal mines are one of the most important coal reserves in Afghanistan, which are used in different provinces.
