Taliban looking to participate in the meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Gambia

In a meeting between the officials of the Taliban and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Abdulsalam Hanafi, the administrative deputy of the Taliban's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, demanded to invite the representatives of this group to the next meeting of the organization.

Hanafi made this request in a meeting with Tariq Ali Bakhit, Deputy Director of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

The purpose of this invitation is to provide an opportunity for Taliban representatives to share their opinions and consultations with the officials of the organization and to convey the realities in their country to the Islamic society.

Hanafi stated that the Taliban respects the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and wants to expand relations with this organization.

He also invited the Secretary General of this organization to visit Afghanistan and emphasized the need for cooperation between Islamic countries to solve common challenges.

In this meeting, the delegation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation also announced that they have seen positive developments in Afghanistan, which are different from the negative image presented in the media.
